We're excited to open registrations of interest for our annual fishing competition.
We hope lots of members will join this fun day. It is one of our biggest events on our calendar - this is its 27th year. Family and friends are welcome to compete also, alongside an OBC member.
As well as great prizes, it's about having fun and getting together as a club.
Spend the day how you choose - whether you're a competitive early riser, or more relaxed. Some of the best prizes are not for the longest fish. If you catch something (legal size), you're in to win big.
We'll announce sponsors, prize categories and major prizes soon.
COMPETITION OUTLINE
- It is a measure tournament and fish will not be weighed. This allows fish to be released if the angler chooses.
- All anglers need to be registered prior to the competition starting.
- The competition will use a fishing competition app to record catches. Instructions will be provided in advance and assistance provided when needed.
- If the weather is unsuitable, the rain date is Sunday 22 February
ON THE DAY
- Register and collect your boat goody bag, breakfast snack and coffee from the clubroom.
- Launch from the OBC before 11am.
- Enjoy the day fishing, photograph your catches and send them in using your smartphone.
- Back to the club for prize giving and a summer celebration with drinks, food truck, music and kids activities.

Please register your boat in the competition and you'll go in the draw for an early bird prize.
You don't need to confirm your crew or pay anything yet. We'll get back in contact you for more information and payment. Prices will be the same or similar to previous years.
