The 2010 OBC Nauti Girls Fishing Contest scheduled for 30th October is going to be just as good as the last five years. Already the Nauti Girls Committee is hard at work planning this year’s event; we have decided on the theme and are please to report excellent support from our previous sponsors as well as some very generous new ones. Last year we raised over $8300 for “The Make A Wish Foundation” and we will again be using this event to raise money for this excellent cause.

For those who are new to this event, it is one that our female club members won’t want to miss. It’s your day to fish & be pampered. The whole idea of the competition is that it is for the girls only. Just one male per team allowed (the master baiter, skipper, drinks movement officer and general slave for the girls for the day). So get him baking those nibbles for the day. Then after weigh-in your master baiter can deliver you home and finish washing the boat down, clean the house and generally grovel, then bring you back for the evening themed function and prize giving.

If it’s anything like last year we will have a waiting list again so start thinking about your team now for when we start taking entries. Last year we were booked out by early September so don’t delay your entry when the time comes. As with previous years there will be an Early Bird draw (the prize will make someone very happy).
